Reg Bennett

Reg served as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in the Republic of Palau from 1992 to 1994 focusing his time with local business owners on improved business practices and sales growth. Upon completion of his service, he remained in Palau and began a series of companies based on the nations needs, which included; Computers Plus, Star Theater, Bennett Accounting Services, Orakiruu Professional Building and Orakiruu Construction. Recognizing many US companies viewed export sales as complex, while companies outside of the US found purchasing US goods as difficult, he returned to the US in 2004 and began an international logistics and procurement company called Blue Sky Traders, LLC to bridge this supply gap. Blue Sky Traders focuses on providing services to the governments and NGO’s of the Pacific Islands. He frequently works with the United Nations, International Office on Migration, World Health Organization, American Embassies and national island governments. Blue Sky Traders has provided medical supplies, constructions materials and comfort-based equipment such as tents, sleeping bags and packaged meals during drought and hurricane-based disasters. Blue Sky Traders holds a Pharmacy Wholesale Distributor License and participates in medical bids. Recently completed projects include five (5) military grade mobile medical dental units for the Republic of Palau, full medical equipment for a new COVID wing in the Marshall Islands and supply of pharmaceutical medications for the Federated States of Micronesia. Our work throughout the Pacific was recognized by the Super Yacht industry and today we work with a dozen privately owned yachts varying in size from 130’ to an impressive 312’. This customer base is always on the move creating complex deliveries which have required a specific methodology to ensure items arrive safely and on-time.

In 2018, Reg began USShipShop.com – which provides a unique US based address to companies and individuals operating outside of the US. They can order from any website or supplier and ship items to their address. USShipShop then consolidates and ships anywhere in the world.

Reg was the Treasure of the Rotary Club of Palau and acted as the director for five years of the Rotary Fishing Derby where he grew participation from 25 boats to over 60 boats annually and tripled the organizations revenue. He also served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Palau Chamber of Commerce. He served for 8 years as the Cub Master and Assistant Scout Master while is son’s were involved in the Boy Scouts of America. Both his sons earned Boy Scout’s highest rank of Eagle Scout.

He and his wife, Faye have five children all of which enjoy adventure, travel and getting together with friends and family.
